Who we are?

The Lord Jagannath Society of Delhi (LJSD) is a registered non-profit community organization established in 2008, dedicated to social, environmental, health, and cultural development. Rooted in the teachings and spirit of Lord Jagannath, the society brings together individuals who are committed to community service, preserving cultural heritage, and uplifting the underprivileged.

From providing free education to needy children to organizing community pujas and cleanliness drives, LJSD has grown into a multi-dimensional organization driven by values, compassion, and collective action.

Social Initiatives
  • Free education and school materials for needy students
  • Support to blind schools and differently-abled institutions
  • Distribution of warm clothes to homeless individuals during winter
  • Regular roadside food distribution for the undernourished
Environmental Initiatives
  • Active participation in Swachh Bharat Abhiyan
  • Campaigning against single-use plastic and promotion of eco-friendly paper bags
  • Organizing cleanliness drives in jhuggi (slum) areas and public spaces
Health & Hygiene Initiatives
  • Distribution of sanitary napkins to women and adolescent girls
  • Providing hygiene kits to underprivileged families
  • Organizing awareness and cleanliness programs in low-income neighborhoods
Cultural & Youth Engagement
  • Celebration of Odia festivals such as Ganesh Puja, Saraswati Puja, and Rath Yatra

  • Organizing extracurricular activities for children like drawing competitions, dance competitions, and cultural contests
